February 26 is a special day for the U.S. National Park Service. On this day, two of the nation’s most well-known national parks were established, 10 years apart: the Grand Canyon in 1919 and Grand Teton National Park in 1929.

Last year, almost 10 million visitors enjoyed the beauty of these two natural treasures. Let’s go over when the various national parks were established, which ones are the biggest, and how often they were visited in 2016:
